On August 10, the charity event "Bread and Honey Day" took place in the village of Desna, Vinnytsia Municipal Territorial Community.
The event brought together residents of Desna, folk artists, local craftsmen, and producers with a single shared purpose – to thank our Defenders for the opportunity to harvest this year's crops. Additionally, every attendee had the opportunity to donate in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The event featured bee products and honey tastings, a wide variety of baked goods ranging from traditional wedding loaves (korovais) to fragrant poppy seed cakes, traditional Podillian dishes, as well as wooden paintings, an exhibition of didukhs (traditional wheat sheaves), and much more.
The Vinnytsia Centralized Club System, along with its subordinate institutions, joined the artistic event. Throughout the charity celebration, local ensembles performed for all those present, including:
Folk Amateur Vocal Ensemble "Z Rosy y Vody" (From Dew and Water)
Exemplary Amateur Choreographic Ensemble "Hileia" (Havryshivka village)
Children's Vocal Ensemble "Perlynky" (Pearls, Stadnytsia village)
Children's Folklore Ensemble "Shaleni Bdzhilky" (Crazy Bees, Velyki Krushlyntsi village)
Children's Choreographic Ensemble "Malvy" (Mallows, Stadnytsia village)
Folk Amateur Ukrainian Song Ensemble "Vodohrai" (Water Fountain, Havryshivka village)

Women's Vocal Ensemble "Zhuravlyna" (Cranberry, Shchitky village)
Folk Amateur Folklore Band "Podilski Muzyky" (Podillian Musicians, Vinnytski Khutory village).
We express our gratitude to the Cultural Institution "Vinnytsia City Centralized Library System" for the activities presented at the festival: open-air reading sessions, themed exhibitions, patriotic masterclasses, and games.
Children and adults had the opportunity to express their gratitude through patriotic drawings, letters, and handmade bracelets. All of these works will soon be sent to our Defenders.
The event was organized by the Vinnytsia City Council and its structural divisions – the Department of Economy and Investments and the Department of Culture of the Vinnytsia City Council.
